Caring for the Body God Gave You

Rest, movement and nourishment aren't vanity — they're stewardship. Gentle thoughts on wellness as worship.

Many women pour themselves out for everyone else while neglecting their own bodies. But caring for yourself is not selfish — it is a way of honouring the One who made you.

”
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you… therefore glorify God in your body.
1 Corinthians 6:19–20 (KJV)

Small, faithful habits

  • ✦Move your body in a way you enjoy — a walk, a stretch, a dance in the kitchen.
  • ✦Drink water and eat food that fuels you.
  • ✦Protect your sleep, and take a true Sabbath rest.
  • ✦Pray while you walk — let exercise become a time with God.

Wellness is not about a number on a scale or comparing yourself to anyone else. It is about having the strength and energy to do everything God has called you to do.

Grow with us — there's a seat for you.
